Bio
Damascus Lee Ellison was born September of 1982 in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of six Lee began rap music with his family, and friends in the small town of Carleton, Michigan. This was the start of his music aspirations. In 1994, Lee's father purchased him his first electric guitar. Lee started his first band—Life After Death: ( A Christian death metal band) with his kin. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 2001, Lee was given the privilege of trying out for Electra recording artist and new/metal band Burn Season. Bobby Amaru,( also a fellow graduate from Robert E. Lee High School), chose Lee out of 100 guitarists to join his band in 2001. Only a member for 4 months, Lee's issues prior to joining the band only grew worse as he turned away from any form of prayer and corporate fellowship. Lee decided to quit Burn Season. Burdened by severe depression for nearly a year, he finally surrendered his heart to Christ again. Lee's depression was instantly removed, his relationships were healed, and he was given a new life. He began to write worship music on the acoustic guitar, expressing his relentless gratitude to Christ. Now in 2024, Lee is the father of 7 children: 5 girls and 2 boys. One of his sons, Kadesh Levi Ellison, died on April 26th, 2018, after his 2 year battle with AML cancer. Lee was shaken in his character through the grief though his faith never wavered. Reforming L.A.D is like a revival of Lee's youth and a new beginning, celebrating eternal life through Jesus. May peace be multiplied to all who hear his music, and may the way of peace be known, through the knowledge of God our Savior, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
